- A video projector is available for your computerized presentations. They may be accessed from the web or directly from a laptop. There is also available a slide projector and VCR. Please give some advance notice if you wish to access this equipment.
Subscription Information
- Subscribers to the triumf-seminars listserv will receive daily and weekly reminders of upcoming seminars.
- The weekly reminder, sent at 5AM Mondays, lists all seminars currently scheduled up to and including the following Monday
- The daily reminder, sent at 5AM weekdays, lists all seminars scheduled for that day.
- To subscribe to this listserv, or to change your subscription options, go to http://lists.triumf.ca/mailman/listinfo/triumf-seminars
- Please note - When subscribing to the seminars list via the listserv, you will not receive any notifications if you have the following options set incorrectly:
- Digest Only (make sure you have "Set Digest Mode" Off). Digests for this listserv are disabled. This option is normally used to receive a summarized version of listserv messages; however, since seminar announcements are sent on the morning of each seminar, a digest version would be received too late. Instead, a message is sent at the start of each week, listing all upcoming seminars for the next week.
- Specific topics only (make sure you have not selected specific topics, or that you have "Do you want to receive message that do not match any topic filter?" set to Yes). The listserv is supposed to categorize messages by topic; however, it has been reported that if you do choose to subscribe only for certain topics, you will receive no notifications at all. This is apparently a bug in mailman; until it is fixed, you should not enable filtering by topic.
Related Information
- The UBC Department of Physics & Astronomy also has an on-line Physics Colloquium Schedule (opens in a new window), to which you can subscribe for email notification.
