Project Coordinator

Our Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for oversight and governance of all projects at TRIUMF, from conception to completion. If you are interested in playing a role in the many exciting projects at TRIUMF, we are currently looking for a Project Coordinator to join our PMO team. This position is primarily responsible for providing technical support to project managers and helping to fulfill the mandate of the PMO. The position will be for an initial 2 year contract and has potential to lead to a continuing appointment based on project demands and mutual agreement. In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and update schedules based on project manager and team inputs, including organizing meetings with stakeholders
  • Provide project managers with reports from schedules and other project-tracking tools, and provide support and best practices to others preparing project schedules
  • Develop standard templates, framework and procedures to achieve consistency in planning process and methodologies
  • Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze project performance as requested by project management and other stakeholders
  • Develop and prepare aggregate reports for monitoring milestones and analyzinf resources across multiple projects

  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and MS Project, and other related software and management information systems, to analyze the overall resources requirements for all projects at TRIUMF
  • Practical knowledge of Project Management tools and techniques
  • The ability to apply project management software tools to produce standard and customized reports for effective resources analysis
  • High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and demonstrated planning, organizational, and coordinating skills
  • The ability to complete detail oriented tasks effectively and consistently with high quality and the flexibility to deal with changing priorities
  • Diploma or certification in a relevant program of study, ideally related to Project Management
  • A minimum of 4 years of planning and project management experience, providing support to several projects simultaneously
