This team is responsible for providing our management and staff with the tools and information necessary to minimize the impact of our operations on the environment, ensuring a healthy workforce and a safe workplace which enables TRIUMF to maintain excellence in scientific research. You will be responsible for providing the scientific computing support necessary for hazard and safety analyses in radiation protection, as well as for supporting engineering design of high power targets, beam dumps, and beam line components. You will provide scientific analysis using Monte Carlo codes for the production and transport of energetic particles in materials associated with the bombardment by accelerated beams of protons and electrons. This analysis is required to address problems in several different areas:
