REMOTE - HR Projects 

Name of Project:

Workday Implementation Support 

Overview:

This position partners with the Director, Human Resources. In collaboration with various stakeholders, this position is accountable for conducting process improvement activities for defined HR processes stemming from the implementation of our new ERP Workday system. This includes collecting information, documenting internal processes in consultation with subject matter experts (SMEs), and together, identify issues and propose solutions to the Director HR and process owner. You will use your resourceful, self-starting attitude to dive into new problems and execute solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity to get in-depth Human Resources applied knowledge in a large complex not for profit laboratory. You will gain valuable experience in an administrative support role supporting major HR projects and will be able to pursue personal learning goals in Human Resources.

This position could possibly have some on-site work.

Duties:

- In collaboration with the SMEs and external consultants, execute project outcomes via coordinating and facilitating key project plan tasks
- Plan and coordinate activities related to the ongoing support of the project; maintain the quality of the SharePoint site functionality
- Produce Visio diagrams to document HR's new procedures and gather requirements to support the change
- Update sub-projects plan with task items

Qualifications:

3rd or 4th year Business Administration or Human Resources degree
- Intermediate/advanced level MS Office - required
- Basic understanding of document management - an asset
- Experience with process and decision mapping- an asset
- MS Project - an asset
- Experience with MS SharePoint or OneDrive - an asset
- Demonstrated ability to build, foster and maintain positive and beneficial relationships
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task with proven organizational skills
- Ability to work independently

May - Aug 2021 with possible 4-month extension  
Salary is commensurate with academic progress and previous relevant work experience, and ranges from $ 2080 to $ 2800 per month plus 4% vacation pay.
TRIUMF pays round-trip airfare (this does not apply to Vancouver/Victoria students); for Vancouver Island students, TRIUMF will pay ferry costs.
