Position Title:Mechanical/Maintenance Engineer, COOP Intern | ||

Overview:Mechanical Services is looking to implement a new cloud based software for preventative and corrective maintenance. This position would be helping with the implementation by creating the plant equipment database, developing the maintenance schedule and training other staff in the department with the use of the software. | ||
Duties:Develop preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.Create a database for site equipment including manuals, maintenance schedule/history and spare parts inventories. Provide training to staff in the use of cloud-based maintenance software Locate and document plant equipment. | ||
Skills learned during this work experience:Familiarity with industrial equipment, processes and maintenance software (CMMS).Understanding of industrial maintenance requirements and costs. Industrial safety standards. Provincial Codes relating to mechanical, structural and electrical. Nuclear Engineer Worker Training | ||
Qualifications:Mechanical / Industrial Engineering student or related discipline or student studying the management of information systems.Familiarity with industrial equipment, energy management systems, building automation, HVAC, instrumentation and other mechanical systems. Proficiency in word processing applications, spread sheet applications, and industry related software. Excellent organizational skills. Hands on experience working with mechanical equipment an asset. | ||

Salary is commensurate with academic progress and previous relevant work experience, and
ranges from $ 2080 to $ 2800 per month plus 4% vacation pay. TRIUMF pays round-trip airfare (this does not apply to Vancouver/Victoria students); for Vancouver Island students, TRIUMF will pay ferry costs.
